Italian Elvis Series Shows Surrealistic Elvis Art

Italian Elvis Series Shows Surrealistic Elvis Art: The surrealistic work from artist Frank D. Mayes III is on exhibition in Georgia, USA. The controversial pieces are made from well known religious pieces that are modified to modern scenes. The 4-panel ‘Birth, Life and Crucifixion’ is painted on a wooden panel, 7×7 feet, and has a link to paintings of Jesus Christ. In the top panel, Elvis is looking down on his life, on the right his birth house in Tupelo, on the left Las Vegas (where he still lives further in the way of impersonators), it seems to be that the 3 crucified men can be compared to the authors of the book ‘Elvis: What Happened’.
